Cutting the Clippers down
The Los Angeles Clippers will trade Patrick Beverley, Rajon Rondo and Daniel Otulu to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for point guard Eric Bledsoe. Transaction will save the Clippers approximately $25 million in luxury taxes, and the Grizzlies will save $3.9 million in cap space next season. This trade is to clear up the roster spots for the Clippers with 17 players under contract dropping down to 15 players currently. In terms of team chemistry, Bledsoe will be a valuable piece alongside the dynamic duo of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. Within a span of 24 hours, Grizzlies sent Patrick Beverley to Timberwolves for Jarrett Culver and Juancho Hernangomez.
